After 40 years incarcerated in Alabamastate prisons, Sekou Kambui, civil rights activist in the 1960s, and Black Panther, was released from prison on June 30, 2014. He is currently living in a halfway house in Alabama.
While Sekou is extremely happy to be free and out of prison, he is also broke. He is in great need of funds to get his basic needs met.
You can help Sekou buy some clothes, shoes, a cell phone, hygiene items, and other basics. If you are able to give anything to help Sekou get back on his feet, please send a check made out to William Turk(that’s his official name on all his ID), and send it to the Freedom Archives so we can forward your contributions.
